One of a selection of images that used to be printed on the back of matchboxes - back when smoking and matches and art as part of the day-to-day ordinary things were still trending. Not much information about the artist or company responsible for issuing these boxes is known. The art seems to serve as an ad for Meiji Seika Kaisha (currently Meiji, a pharmaceutical company) and its caramel metal plates. In the kid's hands is a matchbox, of which we are unable to identify the brand.
